Denia, Spain
Dénia, on the Costa Blanca between Alicante and Valencia, has a population of 45K. There are Iberian ruins on the hillsides nearby and a castle located on a rocky crag overlooking the city. Dénia is the northern terminus for a picturesque metre gauge railway line through the mountains - the Limón Express, and the ferry to Ibiza and other Balearic Islands departs daily.
