Spain is the size of Texas yet it has such variety and contrast from the colder northern climate to the warm tropical Mediterranean; from the Roman artifacts to the Moorish cities; from the austere jota dances in the north to the flamenco in the south; from soccer games at the Real Madrid to bullfights. There are world class museums which represent masterpieces from El Greco, Velazquez, Goya, Picasso, Dali. Madrid, the capital, has approximately 5 million people.
