Summer camps for kids! - Study Spanish with Spanish Works, Inc.

Spanish Works, Inc. offers summer camps in Spain, Latin America and in Italy. In Italy, A summer school for Juniors ages 12 to 18 years old is situated in Lignano, a seaside resort near Venice and offers residential Italian language courses combined with sports and creative leisure activities and excursions. More than nine summer camps in Spain are located in these cities: Barcelona, Granada, Madrid, Malaga, Marbella, Salamanca, Sevilla, and Valencia. There are camps for children from 5-12 and junior camps for ages 13-18. U.S. students are mixed with international students. There is 24-hour supervision in residential camps, homestay programs or day camps. Besides learning Spanish, there are optional sports available such as tennis, swimming, horseback riding, soccer, golf and sailing in an international environment.

Parents and Child (July/August)

This program is offered in Denia, Spain, a beautiful seaside town between Valencia and Alicante and is designed for families traveling together. While parents improve their Spanish in an intensive course, their children enjoy their Spanish studies with children their own age and activities with their own teachers. Parents can choose courses offered to adults that coincide with the children’s programs. Resident families, also Spaniards, bring their children to participate in this program. The children attending this program will interact with other children from diverse cultures who speak other languages.

Junior Course - Spanish & Soccer Camp (ages 12-15)

This Summer, Learn Spanish while playing soccer in Madrid

This program is a two-week course, designed for adolescents between the ages of 12 and 15, that combines Spanish classes, training and soccer games, and an interesting cultural program. The course will take place in an exclusive setting where the Spanish National Soccer Team, World and European Champions, train, La Cuidad del Fútbol. It is located just 20 minutes from Madrid with excellent public transportation and easy access from Las Rozas.

The course last two weeks, and will be offered during May or August 2012.

The course will take place in Soccer City, official headquarters of the Royal Spanish Soccer Federation and the Spanish Team. Therefore, it is a high-performance center for soccer and where the World and European champions are housed and train. Soccer City has 5 soccer fields, a multi-purpose hall, sports residence, social area, fully-equipped classrooms, gymnasium with the latest technology, medical services, library and pool.

The language course will take place from Monday to Friday, for 3 hours each day. Students will be placed with other students that have the same language level and will be taught by qualified professors. The classes will be taught with a focus on communication and student participation, using various social forms of work and material adapted to the ages of the students.

The soccer course will take place 3 times each week, with a class on theory, training sessions and a game. The course will be taught by senior professionals qualified by the Royal Spanish Soccer Federation. The course includes all of the necessary equipment for the students, training material, supplies, First-Aid, use of the Spanish Soccer Selection gym and sports visits to: Santiago Bernabéu Stadium; Real Madrid Museum; Museum of the Spanish Soccer Federation.

Each student will receive: 2 pairs of shorts and 2 t-shirts, cap, bag.

Price: 2350 Euros for two weeks. This does not include the flight but includes everything else -- 3 meals a day, snacks, lodging in a residence, transportation to and from Barajas (Madrid) Airport, diplomas.
